Blackspot Road Safety Project – View Road, Springvale

example raised safety platform

Project Overview

As part of the Blackspot program, Raised Safety Platforms are proposed to be installed along View Road between Heatherton Road and Ash Grove.

This project is funded by the Federal Government’s Blackspot Program. The Blackspot program funds road safety measures in locations where there is a history of road crashes.

View Road currently has limited traffic management devices. This lack of devices has resulted in excessive vehicle speeds. The installation of Raised Safety Platforms (and supporting infrastructure) will calm local traffic, reduce vehicle speeds and reduce the possibility / severity of crashes along View Road.
