Deputy Mayor, Councillor Sophie Tan proudly shared highlights from Council’s 2024/25 Annual Report with the community following its endorsement at Monday night’s Council Meeting.

The report outlines significant progress on capital works projects, improved community satisfaction and a continued commitment to providing quality services to our community to improve health, social connection and accessibility.

“We made a $60 million investment in infrastructure in the 2024/25 financial year, which includes upgrades to community facilities, recreation spaces, roads and footpaths,” Deputy Mayor Tan said.

“This includes the newly completed Keysborough Community Hub and the construction of Dandenong Wellbeing Centre, which is now well underway.”

“A key achievement from last financial year was our increased community satisfaction score, which rose to 7.5 out of 10. This was the highest result across metropolitan Melbourne, and the equal-highest result ever recorded by our survey company.”

“Our ongoing advocacy has also resulted in positive outcomes this financial year, with Federal Government committing to funding for a range of sports, business and safety projects.”

“All of this has been delivered, while maintaining a responsible financial position with a surplus operating result of $30.9 million.”

The Annual Report was endorsed unanimously and is now available on Council’s website.

Cr Tan said, “I encourage you to download a copy to find out more on what we accomplished in the 2024/25 financial year. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Councillors and staff, whose tireless work for our community has
contributed to these successes.”
